Doctrine Press

About

Theology deserves a better home.

Doctrine Press is a place to read and publish serious theological writing, to argue the perennial questions in good faith, and to study the primary texts alongside the conversation they started. Think of it as a Substack for theology — but with the library built in.

Three things, in one place

Essays let theologians, pastors, and students publish long-form work and build a readership. Discussions host threaded debate across traditions — Reformed, Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, and beyond. The Library keeps the creeds, confessions, and treatises a click away, so an argument can always return to its sources.

Why the library matters

Most platforms make you choose between conversation and primary sources. Doctrine Press puts them side by side, so that when an essay cites Chalcedon or the Heidelberg Catechism, you can read the text itself — and understand not just what people believe, but why.
